Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha yesterday reconstituted the jurisdictions of 31 High Court benches, out of 49, including the bench, which has issued a suomoto rule over the Narayanganj seven-murder.

Contacted, Supreme Court Registrar SM Kuddus Zaman said it's a routine work.

On last December 10, an HC bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore said it will pass an order in the case this January.

Yesterday, Justice Md Khasruzzaman has been assigned to sit with Justice Rezaul in place of Justice Gobinda in the bench while Justice Gobinda with Justice Quamrul Islam Siddiqui to discharge judicial functions.

Rab in its final inquiry report submitted to the HC bench has found that 21 Rab members, including Lt Col (retd) Tareque Sayeed Mohammad and Maj (retd) Arif Hossain, were involved in the killings of April last year.
