Vijaya Dashami, Ashura to see stiffened security: DMP chief

The security measures taken for the peaceful celebrations of Durga Puja will be even more strengthened during Ashura and Vijaya Dashami, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia told a press briefing at Ramna Kali Mandir when visiting different temples in the capital.

“We will strictly resist any kind of subversive activity during Puja and Ashura, while Dhaka city will be brought under a tight security blanket on Tuesday [tomorrow] and Wednesday," he said.
