7 held with 28,600 Yaba pills

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested three persons with 27,000 Yaba tablets in a Segunbagicha hotel of Dhaka yesterday.

They are Enamullah, 31, Mahmudul Haque, 51, and Asaduzzaman Babul, 41, said police. Mahmudul is a hotel owner in Cox's Bazar, they added.

Another DNC team detained Abu Hanif alias Hanif Member, 44, Iqbal Hossain, 45, and Ashraful Alam alias Prince, 36, with 1,000 Yaba pills in Uttara area.

In another drive, Mujib, 22, from Cox's Bazar, was held with 600 Yaba tablets in a Kamalapur hotel.
