Road crashes kill five
Five people were killed in road accidents in two days.
In Gopalganj, two people were killed and four others injured as a bus rammed a buttery-run auto-rickshaw carrying them in Khandarpar area of Muksudpur upazila on Monday.
The dead are Samsu Khan, 75, of Khandapara village and Aklin Mia, 18, of Kowni village of the upazila.
In Magura, two motorcyclists were killed as a bus rammed the vehicle on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Shalikha upazila yesterday.
Atik Munchi, 35, of Naghosh village of the upazila and his sister-in-law Shati Khatun, 17, of Jessore, died instantly.
In Patuakhali, Tuhul Amin, 45, of Muradia in Dumki upazila, was killed and five others were injured as a tomtom (locally made battery-run three-wheeler) hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw carrying them in Muradia area of Dumki upazila yesterday.
