Rizvi of BNP gets bail

The High Court yesterday granted ad-interim bail to BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed in four vandalism and arson cases.

The HC passed the order after hearing four separate petitions filed by the accused.

Rizvi, however, cannot get released from jail as he is accused in eight other cases, his lawyer Sagir Hossain Leon told The Daily Star.

He said the four cases were filed with Mirpur and Pallabi Police Stations on different days in January.
