Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Mozammel Haque Khan today urged the public prosecutors to play active roles against corrupt people in dealing graft cases.
“We are not neutral. We are against corrupt people,” Commissioner Khan said while speaking at a special training programme for public prosecutors at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka.
Addressing the public prosecutors, he said, “Your experience and wisdom are multi-dimensional but we do not expect people often expressing negative remarks about you.”
The ACC prepares cases and hand those over to the public prosecutors, said Mozammel, adding that, “It is your duty to ensure these cases to a successful final outcome.”
He urged the prosecutors to play an active role upholding the interest of the commission, that is, the state.
A total of 41 public prosecutors took part in the two-day long training.
