Order on war crime charges against five on Nov 14
International Crimes Tribunal-1 yesterday fixed November 14 to decide whether it will take the charges into cognisance brought against five men from Sherpur and Comilla in two cases filed over committing crimes during the Liberation War, 1971.
The tribunal fixed the date after the formal charges and other documents, which the prosecution filed on Monday through its registrar office, were produced before it.
In a case, the prosecution pressed three charges against Muhamed Shahidullah, a former army official who allegedly worked for the Pakistani army in 1971, of Daudkandi upazila in Comilla.
In another case, the prosecution submitted four charges, including murder and torture, against four Sherpur men.
