Abdul Malik Chowdhury, father of eminent jurist Dr Shahdeen Malik, breathed his last yesterday, aged 90.
He left behind a son, two daughters, grandsons and granddaughters.
He will be buried at Banani graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at Takwa Mosque in the capital's Dhanmondi following Zohr prayers today, said Shahdeen Malik.
Abdul Malik was born on February 1, 1926 in Sylhet. He obtained honours degree in physics from MC College in 1945.
He joined the forest department in 1948 and retired as chief conservator in 1983.
