Youth murdered in Sylhet

A youth was hacked to death by miscreants in Sylhet city's Upasahar area yesterday evening.

Abu Hosain Jahid, 18, was a class X student of Shimantik School and College.

Akhter Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shahporan Police Station, said Jahid was hacked in the leg and some other parts of the body.

He was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

The police officer said they are looking into the murder.
