To enjoy Mexican food in Dhaka, a food festival has been launched, called 'A Week in Mexico,' on Sunday evening at Six Seasons Hotel, Dhaka. A much-needed small getaway from the chaos and regular city-life!

The weeklong festival, starting from Sunday, will go on at Sky Pool Restaurant of Six Seasons Hotel, an exclusive boutique hotel, in Gulshan-2 of Dhaka.

Mexican music, and a couple of Salsa dance performances took place once the inauguration was done by the General Manager of Six Seasons Hotel, Md Al-Amin.

Food per person is priced at Tk 3,999, from 6PM to 11PM in the evening.

Besides this, there is also a 'buy one, get one free' offer for selected credit cards issued by BRAC Bank, City Bank, Eastern Bank Limited, Midland Bank Ltd, Mutual Trust Bank Limited, NCC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and United Commercial Bank Ltd.

A handful of people, including Brazil's Ambassador to Bangladesh, H.E. Joao Tabajara de Oliveira Junior, was present at the inaugural ceremony, and tasted the dishes and expressed his happiness to try Mexican food for the first time in Dhaka.

General Manager, Md Al-Amin said, "We usually try to do something interesting every month. Our aim is to promote some specific cuisine. This month, we thought about doing something exotic and exclusive, and a little bit different.

"With that in mind, we highlighted Mexican food, and tried our level best to come up with authentic Mexican cuisine because we found, in a study, that there is a huge popularity for Mexican cuisine in Dhaka."

When asked if all dishes are available, he replied, "We have all the authentic and popular Mexican dishes, and we are calling this 'service buffet,' as it's not a regular buffet. You can order and everything would be served on your table one by one, to ensure safety and that hygiene measures are maintained properly."

Regarding the response from customers, Al-Amin said, "We are getting a lot of response, especially [from a few] specific banks, as they are our partners. We have a specific client base. They always look forward to us coming up with something new!
