Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today directed to immediately start work on two foot-over bridges near Matsya Bhaban and in front of the High Court.

He also said DSCC had previously taken up many projects without any feasibility study. And projects taken up without any feasibility study makes it ineffective and eventually is not properly implemented, he said during his weekly visit to some areas under DSCC areas.

The mayor further lamented on the delay in launching work on many other foot-over bridges including the one near Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Two foot-over bridges have been connected with a lift without any feasibility study although it was required, he said.
