Rahima Khatun passes away

Rahima Khatun, mother of The Daily Star senior reporter Rejaul Karim Byron, passed away yesterday at her residence in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira.

The 75-year-old had been suffering from old-age complications for the last few years.

She left behind three sons and a daughter to mourn her death.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held today and later she will be buried at her family graveyard in Jalalabad area of the upazila in Satkhira.

The Daily Star expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.

Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
