Prof Enamul Huq Khan no more

Prof Enamul Huq Khan, a former pro-vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, died of cancer at a Dhaka hospital yesterday. He was 69.

He left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Dr Enamul Huq was JU pro-VC from October 2, 2003 to 2007. His father Dr Sirazul Huq Khan, a professor of Dhaka University, embraced martyrdom during the 1971 Liberation War.

Enamul Huq will be buried at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at a Khilgaon mosque near his residence.

JU VC Prof Farzana Islam expressed profound shock at the death.
