Lower court judges to get treatment on priority basis

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Bangladesh Judicial Service Association and Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd in order to provide treatment to the lower court judges across the country for Covid-19 and other diseases.

The MoU was signed in association with Law Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday in the conference room of the law ministry at Bangladesh Secretariat.

The association's President Md Helal Uddin and its Secretary General Bikash Kumar Saha and the healthcare institution Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chakrabarty signed the MoU.

Law Secretary Md Golam Sarwar and other officials concerned were present on the occasion.

Under the agreement, judges of the subordinate courts will get treatment facilities on a priority basis from Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd, a law ministry source said.

Supreme Court sources said there are more than 1,800 judges at subordinate courts in the country.
