DIAAR gets first EC committee

AHM Apel Abdullah and Mukhlesur Rahman Mukul were elected president and general secretary respectively of DIARR, a socio-cultural organisation, on Friday, said a press release.

A 35-member first executive committee was also formed, following an election. All the office bearers were elected unopposed.

Other office bearers include finance secretary Azad Shohel; vice-presidents Mesbahur Rahman Khosru, Iffat Ara Nargis and Alamgir Tusar; and joint secretaries Rebeka Sultana, Md Shah Alam and Shahriar Mahmud Prince.

The members include Fazlul Haque, Aminul Islam, Abdul Khalek, Shahidul Islam, Harunur Rashid, Ismatara Doli, Hasib Billah and Rahatus Sabuj.

Established in 2015, DIAAR organises national Gambhira festival and other cultural events.
