Cuta demands arrest of CU teachers' bus attackers

Chittagong University Teachers Associations (Cuta) yesterday formed a human-chain demanding immediate arrest and punishment of the perpetrators who attacked two CU teachers' buses last year.

CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury, at the programme in front of CU Bangabandhu Chattar, said they had approved Tk 1 lakh for the treatment of injured teachers.

At least 14 people, including 10 teachers, were injured in the crude bomb attacks on the buses in Fatehabad of Hathazari upazila on September 10, 2014. Police said they arrested 14 of the 91 accused and most of them got bail.
