Consulate office of Estonia opens in Dhaka
The consulate office of Estonia opened in Bangladesh yesterday, says a press release.
Estonian Foreign Affairs Minister Sven Mikser inaugurated it on the 9th floor of Safura Tower on Kamal Ataturk Avenue in the capital's Banani.
Sven Mikser said, “Honorary consul for the territory of Bangladesh will contribute in mediating links between business and ICT sectors as well as provide support to Estonian citizens in need of consular assistance.”
Syed Farhad Ahmed, consul of Estonia in Bangladesh, hosted the event. “I truly believe that this [the consulate office] will have a significant impact towards building a strong and meaningful relationship between Bangladesh and Estonia.”
Following the inaugural ceremony, a reception event was held at The Westin Dhaka in honour of Sven Mikser.
