Bangladesh's Shadman selected as finalist in global photography contest

Poland-based Grand Prix Photo Festival, a major global forum of photographic events, has selected Bangladesh's Shadman Shahid as one of the 10 finalists for its worldwide annual competition this year.

A freelance documentary photographer, Shadman, 27, made into the group with his abstract works named "Ajna", a Sanskrit word meaning "third eye".

He was also nominated for the Joop Swart Masterclass in 2014 and 2015 and was awarded the third prize in the emerging Asian photographer category in the Dali Photo Festival in China in 2015.
