The fourth convocation of Chittagong University (CU) will be held today amid huge criticism from the attendees as the authority are not providing convocation caps and ties.

The graduates also alleged that the authority took double registration fees in comparison to other public universities.

"In last three convocations, caps and ties were not provided as per senate's decision, said Dr M Kamrul Huda, convocation committee chief and the registrar.

President and Chancellor of the university Abdul Hamid is expected to attend the event.
