$185m deal signed for improving secondary education
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Bangladesh government yesterday signed a loan agreement for $185 million for improving secondary education system and building the foundation for developing a skilled labour force.
The assistance is the second tranche of the $500 million Secondary Education Sector Investment Program (SESIP) approved by ADB in 2013.
Saifuddin Ahmed, joint secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), and Kazuhiko Higuchi, country director, Bangladesh Resident Mission of ADB, signed the agreement at ERD in the capital.
