The government has appointed Maj Gen Abul Hossain as the Director General (DG) of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

Abul Hossain, who is working as military secretary to President Abdul Hamid, will replace Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed, according to a gazette notification issued by the Public Administration Ministry yesterday.The orders will take immediate effect, it added.
