Kurmitola General Hospital fire under control

A fire that broke out at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka Cantonment area tonight was brought under control after two and a half hours’ effort.
No causality was reporter, said hospital sources adding that the patients who went down during the incident returned to their beds.
The fire broke out around 9:30pm and brought under control at 11:58am, Niaz Ahmed, station officer of Kurmitola fire station told The Daily Star.
Eight firefighting units were deployed, said a duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters.
The fire might be originated from short circuit, said Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.
