Cuban envoy meets foreign minister

Outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Bangladesh Abelardo Rafael Cueto Sosa paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali in Dhaka yesterday and expressed his government's interest to strengthen the bilateral relations with Bangladesh in the days ahead.

Both sides promised to cooperate in various multilateral fora by elevating the friendly relationship.

Ali recalled the contributions of Fidel Castro, the great leader of Cuba, during the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
