ACC arrests 5 Agrani Bank officials

The Anti Corruption Commission arrested five Agrani Bank officials in Pabna yesterday in a case filed over embezzling Tk 96 lakh from the bank's Pakshey Branch.

Of them, Afsar Ali, Mosharaf Hossain and Kawsar Ali had been managers of the branch while Nurul Islam and Ramzan Ali officers between 1995 and 2004 when the corruption was committed, ACC sources said.

The case was filed in 2006.
