Abductors demand ransom for release of Savar tea-stall owner

Unidentified abductors demanded Tk 6 lakh as ransom on Saturday from the family of a tea-stall owner who was abducted on Friday from his stall at Padmar Mor of Hemayetpur in Savar.

The victim is Faruque Hosen, 32, of the area.

Police said Faruque left his home for his tea stall on Friday morning but did not return. Later, the miscreants contacted his son and demanded the money over the phone. A general diary was filed.
