6 stone crushers destroyed in Sylhet

A taskforce of the district administration, police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Sylhet's Department of Environment (DoE) destroyed six illegal stone crushing machines in Jaflong of Gowainghat upazila yesterday.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Salah Uddin, who led the taskforce, said owners of the crushers had no legal permission to operate their business, Moreover, these were set up grabbing government land, he added.
