2 killed in Jatrabari blast

Two people were killed and another sustained burns “critically” in a “transformer explosion” in Jatrabari area of Dhaka tonight.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The incident took place around 8:30pm in Golapbagh area when they were working there, leaving the two people dead on the spot and another injured critically, said Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station.

The injured one is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, hospital sources said.
