Rab learned of the vendetta yesterday after arresting Sheikh Shuhrab Hossain (26) from Pather Hat Bazar in Raozan upazila, our Chattogram correspondent reported, quoting Major Shamim Sarkar, deputy director of Rab-7 camp (Chandgaon).
According to Sheikh Shurab, the former SI used to humiliate and bother him which led him to plot the murder for nearly five months.
Shurab used to live with 72-year-old Azam and helped him out at his shop in Harpara, under Ukirchar union, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Tarek Aziz of Rab-7 was quoted as saying.
