Christmas Day

On this day to this world
Was born a child
To bring the message to young and old
To be humble and mild.

To shun arrogance; for only humility
Makes way for peace
Enlightens consciousness, banishes enmity
For all discords to cease.

This world is a gift to all mankind
To all animals, meek and wild
A place for all to share and be kind
For this is the law of the human mind.

Deviation from this will only bring
Mental turbulence and misery
But the heart and the spirit could always sing
Hope is alive to set despair free.

Such is the wisdom Christ offers thee
And such is the wisdom Christ offers me.
