Chhayanaut's Rabindra Utshab begins on May 8
Marking the 153rd birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore, Chhayanaut is holding a two-day “Rabindra Utshab 1421”, set to begin on May 8 at the main auditorium of Chhayanaut Shangskriti Bhaban. A press conference was held yesterday in this regard at the Ramesh Chandra Datta memorial auditorium of Chhayanaut. Vice-president Dr. Sarwar Ali, general secretary Khairul Anam Shakil, executive officer Siddique Belal and joint secretary Anindya Rahman [of Chhayanaut] were present at the press conference.
The festival will set off with the presentation of a choral rendition and dance. Both prominent and promising artistes from across the country will present solo and choral songs, dance and recitation.
Chhayanaut, a leading cultural organisation of the country, was formed on the birth centenary of Rabindranath Tagore, and is nurturing the ethos of Tagore.
