The app, which is only available for Android, contains selected content from Star Lifestyle and The Star from The Daily Star under categories such as fitness, recipes, recreation, careers, fashion and travel. Users of the app can go through the articles under different categories and sub-categories.
The Network will launch this app in a selected number of universities and offices in Dhaka and Chittagong, which started off with a unique Roadshow from 10am-6pm in North South University on 15 September. Promotions will continue in IUB and BRAC University in September, followed by 3-4 other universities after Eid. The Network also plans to promote the app in some corporate offices.
Shams Zaman, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking (NSU Alumni) and Akher Mohammad, Head of Cash Product, TTS, attended the launch at North South University in the morning to show support for the initiative. During the promotional events, volunteers approach target audiences with leaflets and a special Eve trinket and show them how to download the app on their phones.
