MoU signed between Jobletics and BUTEX Business Club to support textile students

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Jobletics and Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) Business Club at the Jobletics Office on May 18. This joint partnership will help educate, empower, and enlighten youths from BUTEX, participants hoped in the informal signing ceremony attended by representatives of the both organisations.

Zakia Haque, Managing Director and Founder of Jobletics, and Anan Sarker Fiza, President of BUTEX Business Club, signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organisations. Under the agreement, Jobletics will provide technical support to the BUTEX Business Club with job placements and internship support for textile graduates. Job fairs and networking events will be organised to foster green jobs creation and support just transition.

"We can't let women workers fall behind," said Zakia. She suggested young female graduates from textile university to act as role models for fellow female students. Fiza highlighted roles played by the existing university clubs active at the BUTEX. "Collaboration with Jobletics would contribute towards building the capacity of textile students, particularly females," she added. 

Obaidur Rahman, Business Development Advisor, and Oli Chowdhury, Communication and Outreach Advisor, represented Jobletics while Sohanur Rahman, General Secretary; Nazmus Sakib Ayon and Md Rakibul Islam, Directors of Admin; and Tasmia Binte Faizur, Director of Communications, took part on behalf of the BUTEX Business Club. Participants highlighted that young graduates from BUTEX must be equipped with green-skills, especially to ensure employment in a competitive labour market.
