JnU invites applications for residential accommodation under ‘Medhabi’ project

Jagannath University (JnU) has issued a notification inviting applications from first-year students of the 2023-24 academic session (19th batch) for residential accommodation under the 'Medhabi' project run by the As-Sunnah Foundation.
The notice, signed by the university's acting Registrar Prof Md Sheikh Gias Uddin, was published last night.
According to the announcement, the project initially aims to accommodate 500 male students. Interested students have been asked to apply via a Google Form or by submitting a printed application form by May 27.
According to university sources, a 10-storey building located on Port Container Road in the Hasnabad area of South Keraniganj has been allocated for a temporary dormitory for the JnU students under the initiative of the As-Sunnah Foundation.
On December 10, 2024, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the foundation regarding the accommodation project.
According to the MoU, the foundation will initially provide housing facilities for 700 students in the Bashundhara Riverview Project area of Keraniganj, with plans to gradually expand the capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 students in phases.
