Seminar on electronic payments for driving e-Commerce in Bangladesh

e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) and Software Shop Limited (SSL Wireless) jointly organised a seminar on "Electronic Payments for driving E-Commerce in Bangladesh" at Dhaka Westin Hotel on February 22, 2018. The speakers shared their views on the various aspects of E-Commerce in the country. The seminar discussed the present status of the ecommerce industry in Bangladesh and stressed on the importance of Electronic Payments to flourish the industry. This was followed by another discussion on Facilitating Digital Payments in Bangladesh, Role of Government, Payment Networks and Financial Institutions. Here Visa shared its learning from the Global e-Commerce Trends & the potential impact it can generate in Bangladesh. The speakers also discussed on the benefits of growing electronic payment systems and the advantages it could bring to the society.
