Citycell gets its frequency back
Bangladesh's first mobile phone operator Citycell today secured permission from the Supreme Court to get back its frequency, an order that has to be implemented by 24 hours.
A three-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha ordered the telecom authority to reconnect Citycell's frequency.

The order came in response to an application filed by the mobile operator.
Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) had scrapped Citycell's spectrum allotment on October 20 last year because the operator had failed to clear the dues.
