SGS Bangladesh Limited partners with Swisscontact Bangladesh to provide technical support to micro, small and medium size enterprises in laboratory testing of products. The partnership will contribute to minimising the use of hazardous chemicals and improving the overall occupational safety and health conditions in leather goods, furniture making, and light engineering sectors. The partnership will also help the businesses to obtain ISO 9001 quality management certification. This will not only help to enhance business growth but also upgrade working conditions, produce better quality products, improve supply chains, and gain access to technology and information.

An agreement was signed on 14th December 2021 at the Swisscontact Bangladesh office, in Dhaka. At the event, Corinne Henchoz Pignani, Deputy Head of Cooperation, Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, said "It is a great initiative for two Swiss organisations to team up and support the SME development ecosystem in Bangladesh towards better business resilience and building back better.''
