Oman Celebrates 52nd National Day in the capital Dhaka

As elsewhere in the world, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Dhaka arranged a Reception marking its 52nd National Day at Sheraton Dhaka on Wednesday 23 November hosted by Omani envoy to Bangladesh Abdul Ghaffar Al Bulushi.  The occasion was attended by Minister for Expatriate's Welfare and Overseas Employment of Bangladesh Government as a Chief Guest and a large number of foreign diplomats, representatives of International organizations resident in Dhaka and other government officials as well as Bangladesh business leaders and entrepreneurs. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Omani envoy said, Bangladesh and Oman maintain excellent bilateral relations giving emphasis on working together for further consolidating the existing relations and taking it to the new height. While Imran Ahmad, the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, the Chief Guest at the Reception, appreciated Oman government to host some around 700000 Bangladeshi expatriates living and working in Oman contributing significantly in the national economy of both countries. The Minister also urged the Oman government to recruit more manpower from Bangladesh welcoming Omani businessmen and investors to invest in Bangladesh.
