ArchJam 2025 kicks off with over 1,000 students in Gazipur

ArchJam 2025, initiated by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and powered by Shah Cement, has kicked off - bringing a bold new energy to architectural education in Bangladesh.
This four-day, three-night camp is uniting over 1,000 students from architecture schools across the country at the Rover Scouts Training Center in Bahadurpur, Gazipur.
The launch event welcomed renowned Scout leader and architect Professor Nizamuddin Ahmed, IAB Vice President Architect Mahfuzul Huq Jaglul, members of the IAB Executive Committee, and senior officials from Shah Cement.

Set in the wilderness, ArchJam 2025 pushes students beyond classroom boundaries and into real-world, hands-on exploration. From bamboo builds and treehouse construction to earth architecture, rural housing workshops, and hiking - this is where design meets the environment, and ideas come to life.
Students are grouped into small troupes of 7–8, each guided by an experienced mentor. Evenings around the campfire and open forums create space for storytelling, reflection, and bold collaboration between aspiring and seasoned architects.
As Bangladesh's leading cement brand, Shah Cement is proud to be the title sponsor of this visionary initiative. "We believe today's students are shaping the cities of tomorrow. Supporting their growth means investing in the future of our built environment," said a Shah Cement spokesperson.
ArchJam 2025 is more than a camp—it's a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community-driven design. A one-of-a-kind experience where the architects of tomorrow start building their legacy today.
