AIUB organised the 2nd International Conference on Computing Advancements - ICCA 2022

The 2nd International Conference on Computing Advancements - ICCA 2022 "Age of Computing and Augmented Life" with cooperation of ACM and SIGAPP ended successfully on Saturday, 12th of March 2022 at the permanent campus of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) organized by the Department of Computer Science.
It was a three day long- International Conference from starting from 10th to 12th of March 2022, where researchers, academicians from different corners of the world joined virtually to share their research insights. The keynote sessions and the parallel paper presentations were conducted virtually via Zoom platform whereas the opening and closing was conducted physically on its permanent campus. The conference was objected to witness innovations and share technological advancements. ICCA 2022 is successful due to its massive response from different countries such as USA, Canada, Japan, Germany and many more, this includes the acceptance and reliability of ICCA 2022. The total number of submitted papers were 250 and among the 250 papers, 86 papers were accepted for the conference. All the accepted, registered and presented papers will be submitted to ACM Digital Library for publication.
In the inaugural ceremony on 10th of March 2022, the Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna inaugurated the ceremony with pleasure and congratulated the participants. Professor Dr. Sazzad Hossain, the Honorable Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) was present as a Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Sazzad Hossain delivered his speech where he appreciated AIUB for such initiatives and expressed his thoughts about "Digital Bangladesh". Among other distinguished guests, Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering of AIUB, high officials and other faculties were also present.
The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Mr. Mustafa Jabbar, a technology entrepreneur and the current Minister of Post and Telecommunication in the Government of Bangladesh. Mr. Mustafa Jabbar really appreciated the fact that AIUB has AR & VR Labs and all together 30 computer labs. In addition, the Minister encouraged the young leaders for tomorrow towards research and the universities to standardize their curriculum to shape up the students to meet industry demand. The Special guests of the closing ceremony was Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, also Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh at ICT Division and Dr. Celia Shahnaz who is a Chair-Elect of IEEE and a Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology. Both the guests engaged the audience with their mesmerizing speech. The overall closing ceremony was presided over by the chairman of the Board of Trustees of American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB), Dr Hasanul A Hasan. The ceremony ended by the distribution of awards and crests to the contributors and sponsors of the conference as a plague of appreciation.
