MTB Foundation launches Niloufer Manzur Memorial Scholarship

MTB Foundation in collaboration with the Faculty of Business Studies of the University of Dhaka has recently launched the "Niloufer Manzur Memorial Scholarship" in honour of the founding principal of Sunbeams School, Niloufer Manzur, with a view to recognising the significant contributions made by the renowned academic.

The launching ceremony was held at the Professor Dr Abdullah Farouk Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Dhaka, a press release said.

Through this affiliation, a total of 34 deserving students -- 16 female and 18 male -- of the Faculty of Business Studies will be financially supported for a year on a monthly basis.

Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman, vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka; Syed Manzur Elahi, founding chairman of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd; Md Abdul Malek, vice-chairman; Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director; Rais Uddin Ahmad, deputy managing director; Samia Chowdhury, chief executive officer of MTB Foundation; Professor Muhammad Abdul Moyeen, dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, and Razia Begum, a professor of the marketing department at the University of Dhaka, were also present.
