Kamran T Rahman re-elected BEF president

Kamran T Rahman has been re-elected president of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) for 2019-2021.  

The federation also elected Habibullah N Karim as vice president, the BEF said in a statement yesterday.

Rahman is a leading entrepreneur in the jute and tea sectors of Bangladesh. He is the chairman and managing director of Pubali Jute Mills and The Kapna Tea Company.

He was the BEF president for 2007-2009, vice president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka and a member of the governing body of International Labour Organisation, Geneva for three terms.

Karim is the managing director and CEO of Technohaven Company. He was the president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services for 2002-03 and 2008-2009.
