Benapole port to remain partially closed for Puja

Benapole land port will halt cross-border movement of goods while continuing internal deliveries and passage of people for four days from today marking Durga Puja.

All port operations will resume on October 20. Aminul Islam, the port director, said security measures would be strengthened during the annual Hindu festival.

Some 3,000 trucks are already awaiting clearance to enter the port.
