Beacon Pharma’s profit dips 45%

Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC posted a 45.46 percent year-on-year decline in profit to Tk 51 crore in the last financial year.

The profit stood at Tk 93.51 crore in 2021-22.

Thus, the company's earnings per share plunged to Tk 2.21 in 2022-23 from Tk 4.05 in FY22.

The net asset value per share slipped marginally to Tk 25.72 in FY23 from Tk 25.73 in FY22 while the net operating cash flow per share fell to Tk 2.69 from Tk 4.68 during the period.

The board of Beacon Pharmaceuticals recommended a 16 percent cash dividend for the year that ended on June 30, according to a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.

Shares of the drug maker closed unchanged at Tk 245 today.
