Dhaka-Kolkata round trip now at Tk 5,031

IndiGo, the largest low-cost carrier of India, is set to start Dhaka-Kolkata round trip at the all-inclusive fare of Tk 5,031 everyday from August 1, with exciting airfare for passengers.
“We are pleased to announce Dhaka as our 9th international destination effective August 2018,” says William Boulter, chief strategy officer of IndiGo.
Passengers would be able to buy tickets through its official website www.goindigo.in, according to a release of IndiGo.
The IndiGo flight from Dhaka is scheduled at 7:10pm departure, with options for convenient connections to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
Starting airfare of a Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka via Kolkata (departure August 1, return August 4) showed Tk 11,700 when an input was given just into the system of IndiGo.
With this airfare, IndiGo is certainly going to stretch the existing competition between airlines in this popular destination to a new level.
Currently, four Bangladeshi carriers-- state-run Biman, US-Bangla, Regent and Novo– are operating flights to Kolkata alongside India’s Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Spicejet.
Frequent visitors to India are understood to be happy with the news. Businessman Ashiqur Rahman is one of them. “Healthy competition is always good. It means affordable airfare and good service for passengers,” he told the newspaper when contacted.
