Farooki plans film on Holey Artisan attack

Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has revealed plans for his next film based on the terror attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery, the once popular upscale eatery in the capital's Gulshan area.
“Holey Bakery will be a one-shot film. It will be intimate and intense,” Farooki told a news portal, Variety.com in Busan, South Korea, where he is serving on the Busan Film Festival short film jury.
The film will be based on the July-1 incident at the Holey Artisan Bakery where armed gunmen held customers hostage for around 12 hours and killed 20 of them, mostly foreigners.
The gunmen also killed two police officials.
Five gunmen were shot dead in an operation conducted by joint forces.
A cast will be set in place in early 2017 and principal photography will begin in March.
Farooki's production outfit Chabial will produce with other entities joining in, Farooki was quoted as saying.
