“Baby” to return with a sequel
The makers of the recently released critically-acclaimed Hindi action thriller, “Baby”, have decided to come out with a sequel.
The film will roll out in early 2016 after director Neeraj Pandey has wrapped up the MS Dhoni biopic, starring Sushant Singh Rajput. That project is slated for a 2017 release.
Confirming the news, Neeraj said, “The concept of the franchise and sequel were clear in my head even while I was writing 'Baby'. I am excited that my cast and producers are bringing the film back.”
“Baby” opened on January 23 across India, and despite a lukewarm start, has picked up numbers, stacking over 68.5 crores in two weeks.
The maker and producer are hopeful that the sequel will be an even bigger adrenaline rush than the first.
