Babul's supporters harass CU teachers

Supporters of Awami League leader Nasir Haider Babul yesterday barred buses of Chittagong University teachers from leaving and entering the university campus in protest of the attack on Babul by some BCL CU unit activists on Saturday.
They hurled brick chips at the buses which led to one of the teachers, associate professor Sajeeb Kumar Ghosh, sustaining minor injuries.
On Saturday, a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League activists of Chittagong University beat up Babul, assistant secretary of a central sub-committee of the AL.  
Sumon Mamun, joint secretary of BCL CU unit and a follower of Babul, said some local AL and BCL activists blockaded the road in front of the university's main gate and barred the buses from entering or leaving the campus.
He, however, denied the attack on the teachers' buses.
