Duronto TV to commemorate Rabindranath Tagore’s 78th death anniversary
On the occasion of the 78th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Duronto TV is set to televise numerous special programmes.
The short film Madho, inspired by Tagore’s poem of the same title and the telefilm, Dakghor, adapted from Tagore’s play of the same name, will be aired on the channel from 10 pm onwards today, with repeat telecasts from 3 pm onwards tomorrow. Madho, featuring Azad Abul Kalam, Nazneed Hasan Chumki and SM Mohsin among others, is directed by Sumona Siddique, while Dakghor, starring Mehedi Amin Ashraf Srabon, Jahangir Alam and Jhuna Chowdhury among others, is helmed by Lucy Tripty Gomez. Both these shows are backed by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh and produced by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The dance programme, Momo Chitte Nite Nittey, choreographed by Amit Chowdhury, will be aired on the channel at 5 pm and 9:30 pm today. Dancers from the company, Shadhona, will perform alongside Rudmila Priyonti Chowdhury, Arisha Chowdhury, Nohali Islam Riya, Labonna Das Gupta, Mahinur Mahrajbin Roop, Anuva Chowdhury and Madhurima Roy, on the show.
