DURGA PUJA SPECIALS ON TV
With the sounds of dhol, set-ups of colourful Puja mandaps and preparations of delectable sweets, Durga Puja celebrations have started across the country. Keeping the festivities in mind, different television channels have Puja special shows in store for the audience. Here are some of the Durga Puja programmes to watch.
Duronto TV
Duronto Television will broadcast Aloy Bhubon Bhora, directed by Monirul Hossain Shipon and presented by Jayanta Chattopadhyay, on October 17 at 5:30 pm. The show will tell stories about Hinduism to teach children virtues such as honesty, tolerance and respect. A special dance programme, Mongolalokey, directed by Tofail Sarkar, will air on October 18 at 5 pm and it will be repeated at 9:30 p.m. Dancers from the dance institute Shadhona will participate in the show. A special programme with child actors Barnomala, Kotha and Shomridha, titled Shubho Bijoya, directed by Partho Pratim Haldar and presented by Bhashkor Bandyopadhyay, will air on October 19 at 5 pm.
ATN Bangla
Dance show Dhaker Taale, directed by Nahid Rahman, will air on October 17 at 5 pm. Puja special tele-fiction Durga Durgati Nashini will air on October 17 at 11.30 pm whereas tele-fiction Doshbhuja will air on October 18 at 12.45 pm. On October 19, tele-fiction Devi, directed by Preeti Dutt, starring Mehzabien, Manosh Bandyopadhyay and others, will air at 9 pm.
ETV
Musical show Anondomoye, which consists of two episodes, featuring Anima Roy, Debolina Sur, Samarjit Roy and Priyanka Biswas, will air on October 18 and 19 at 10 pm.
NTV
Talk show titled Pujar Adda: Anondomoyer Agomone hosted by Sushama Sarkar and directed by Mrinal Dutt, will air on October 18 at 6:45 pm. Bhashkor Bandyopadhyay, Moutushi Biswas, Debashish Biswas and Haimanti Rakshit will be present on the show. Puja special tele-fiction Aar Shobi Chholona, directed by Nahid Ahmed, starring Aparna Ghosh, Tanvir, Shahiduzzaman Selim and many others, will air on October 19 at 11:30 pm.
