‘GSCPC presents Fundraiser Photography Competition’ kicks off
To showcase the talent of the artistic minds of our generation and raise funds to help the frontliners and those people who are in the Coronavirus pandemic, Government Science College Photography Club (GSCPC) is hosting an online contest titled, GSCPC presents Fundraiser Photography Competition.
The online submissions for this content in three categories namely single photos, photo series, short film, closed on August 3. The three-day event started today with their online exhibition. Forty-seven visual artworks by school, college and university students and freelance photographers, shortlisted by the jury panel consisting of Muhammad Imam Hasan and Rahul Talukder (single photos and photo series), Jubayer Talukder and Affan Aziz Pritul (short film), and Nihab Rahman (post-processing) will be showcased online in the next three days.
The event started with exhibiting 32 shortlisted single photographs submissions and post-processing. The second day will showcase the 3 shortlisted photo series and 12 short-film submissions. The photo quiz segment will also be held on the same day at 8 pm.
The winners of this competition will be announced during their online grand finale scheduled live on August 10, on their official Facebook page. The revenue, other than the prize money amounts for the winners, generated from this contest will be handed over to Bidyanondo Foundation, a leading non-profit voluntary organisation in Bangladesh. The news partner for this event is The Daily Star, while Kishoralo and Gadget Monkey are the broadcast and tech partner, respectively.
